Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru
Mangaluru, Dec 10: It has come to the notice of daijiworld that some mischief mongers have been spreading rumours about a 'bandh' in Mangaluru on December 10, in the name of 'Daijiworld News' as 'source'. The message has been doing the rounds in WhatsApp and other social media.
This is to clarify that Daijiworld has NOT published any such news about December 10 bandh in Mangaluru, and does not claim responsibility for any consequence arising from the rumours. The creator of the false message has in no way contacted daijiworld to check its veracity, and has misused daijiworld's name to create unneccesary confusion.

It is learnt that the message, which claims that bandh has been declared by the DC in Mangaluru on December 10 in connection to the Ulaibettu clashes, has gone viral particularly among students. The message seems to be structured from certain words picked from our report on the peace meet published on Tuesday December 9. The message is badly written with spelling and grammatical errors galore, which in itself proves that it was concocted.
We earnestly request and urge our readers and the general public not to pay heed to such messages, and to check daijiworld website to verify in case they receive any message quoting us as the source.
Meanwhile, daijiworld is contemplating approaching the police and the authorities concerned to file a complaint and trace the origin of the rumour on bandh, so that strict action is taken against the person/s responsible.
