London, Dec 9 (IANS): Women's tennis legend Martina Navratilova has spoken of her excitement to coach Agnieszka Radwanska after agreeing to help the current World No.6.
It will be Navratilova's first major coaching role and will link up with the Polish player at the end of the year.
"I can't wait to get started on this new phase of my career and I am really excited," the 18-time Grand Slam singles-winner was quoted as saying by the BBC Sport.
Navratilova will work with Radwanska's full-time coach Tomasz Wiktorowski, and will train with the 25-year-old for the first time in Miami after Christmas.
"I was delighted when Agnieszka asked me if I would collaborate with Tomasz. I did not sleep very well last night, thinking about getting back into match mode and the competitions," Navratilova said.
Radwanska reached the Wimbledon finals in 2012.
