Rio de Janeiro, Dec 9 (IANS): Former Arsenal, Barcelona and Manchester City defender Sylvinho has confirmed he is in talks with Italian football club Inter Milan about the club's vacant assistant manager role.
Nerazzurri boss Roberto Mancini has been without an assistant since replacing Walter Mazzarri at the San Siro last month, reports Xinhua.
Sylvinho, who played under Mancini at City in the 2009-10 season, told Goal.com that he had been contacted by the Italian.
"There is interest but nothing has been confirmed," the former Brazil international said. "I haven't made a decision yet."
Sylvinho has worked as an assistant manager with Brazil's Corinthians, Sport and Cruzeiro since retiring as a player in 2010.
