Rio de Janeiro, Dec 5 (IANS): Striker Robinho is on the verge of an exit from Brazilian club Santos as Italian team AC Milan is considering a January transfer for the footballer.
The 30-year-old, currently with Santos on loan, will miss the Brazilian team's final match of the season against Vitoria Sunday with a thigh injury, reports Xinhua.
AC Milan are keen to sell Robinho to avoid losing him as a free agent when his contract expires in June 2016.
Robinho has scored nine goals from 21 matches since his August arrival at Santos.
Earlier this year the forward was strongly linked with a move to new US Major Soccer League outfit Orlando City.
