Istanbul, Dec 2 (IANS): Hamza Hamzaoglu is the new coach of Turkish football club Galatasaray following the departure of former Italy boss Cesare Prandelli.
The 44-year-old Hamzaoglu had been an assistant to Fatih Terim with the national side, signed the contract with Galatasaray Monday, reports Xinhua.
Prandelli spent just four-and-a-half months in charge of the Istanbul club. Although Galatasaray did well in domestic arena, the club endured a disappointing Champions League campaign and is certain to finish bottom of Group D with one game remaining.
