Kundapur, Nov 28: "Behind every successful man is the guidance of his teacher. The real teacher is one who protects the welfare of his student and inspires and guides him to proceed in the right path," said Sringeri Peeta Jagadguru Bharathi Teertha Swamiji.
The Swamiji was speaking in a religious gathering after ‘Kumbhabhisheka’ at the ‘Punaprathistapana’ programme as part of the silver jubilee celebrations in Seetaramachandra Temple in the town on Friday November 28.
“Bhagwan Rama, Krishna, Shankera, and others who protected the welfare of society had grown under the guidance of their teachers. Justice and principles should not be confined to teachings. One should continuously thrive for their implementation in their lives. While religion shows the path of life, knowledge guides in cleaning the soul. Justice and religion are age-old truths. Our elders have shown that only evil is possible by following the path of
injustice. The relationships between a teacher and pupil are the main principles of our tradition that safeguard the well-being of our societies,” said the Swami.
