Cumberbatch calls selfie craze 'tragic waste' of time

London, Nov 28 (IANS): While the craze for selfies has spread across the globe, actor Benedict Cumberbatch says he hates the trend of clicking one's own photographs.

While talking to USA Today, the 38-year-old said he prefers enjoying a moment rather than capturing it, reports contactmusic.com.

Cumberbatch, who recently announced his engagement to theatre director Sophie Hunter, also mentioned that he won't be personally taking any photos of himself and his bride on their wedding day, and instead he would rather just "enjoy the moment".

"What a tragic waste of engagement. Enjoy the moment. Do something more worthwhile with your time, anything. Stare out the window and think about life,” said "The Imitation Game” actor.
