Ankara, Nov 28 (IANS): After elimination from Europe Wednesday, Galatasaray have confirmed coach Cesare Prandelli has left the club following four straight Champions League losses.
Club vice president Abdurrahim Albayrak announced that the board has decided to dismiss the 57-year-old Italian coach Thursday evening, reports Xinhua.
Prandelli replaced his compatriot Roberto Mancini in the summer having resigned as Italy coach following an early FIFA World Cup exit but has overseen a return of just one point in Champions League Group D. The team was held at home by RSC Anderlecht.
