'City Gold' opens first Mangaluru showroom at Kankanady

Mangaluru, Nov 23: Kerala-based 'City Gold' jewellers forayed into Mangaluru with the opening of a state-of-the-art showroom at Kankanady here on Sunday November 23.

Dakshina Karnataka Sunni Centre president K S Attakoya Thangal inaugurated the showroom.

Yenepoya University chancellor Y Abdulla Kunhi inaugurated the diamond section in the showroom while minister for health and family welfare U T Khadar opened the antique jewellery section.

After the inauguration, U T Khadar said, "City Gold will earn the respect of the Mangaluru people. I am very sure that City Gold will fulfill the needs of their customers."

As an initial promotional offer, City Gold customers who purchase items above Rs 10,000 will get a lucky coupon. Every week, 10 lucky winners will get attractive prizes with a chance to win a diamond necklace. Twenty-five wedding buyers will get 50% discount in making charges on gold jewellery and 25% discount on diamond jewellery (offer valid from November 23 to December 31, 2014).

City Gold group chairman Abdul Kareem, directors Naushad Churi, Iqbal, Akbar, Irshad, Dilshad and others were also present on this occasion.

'City Gold', which has been in the jewellery business for 21 years, has showrooms in Kasargod, Kanhangad, Uppala of Kerala and Puttur in Karnataka.
