Mangalore, Nov 10: Close on the heels of bursting a spurious liquor den near KMF Dairy at Kulshekar near here in the early hours of Friday November 10, the excise police have busted another similar den by the river bank at Balkunje near Mulki here.
The police raided the house after receiving a sure tip off about the spurious liquor den. The police seized 300 litres of spurious liquor stored in 2 rubber tubes and few vessels. The police also seized a ferry boat. The total value of the seized liquor and goods is said to be Rs 10,000.
The police have arrested one Walter Coelho in this regard. The raid was conducted as per the directives of excise commissioner N Rajanna and deputy commissioner Aziz Permannur.
