Mangaluru: Bishop Paul inaugurates music carnival ‘Forte’ at Lourdes

Mangaluru, Nov 14: Lourdes Central School Bejai organized 'Forte' a global music carnival (east meets west) on Friday, November 14, at LCS grounds Bejai, at 4 pm.

The programme began with invocation by the school children.

Fr Wilson Vitus D'Souza, manager Lourdes Central School, gave the floral welcome to the guests.

Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza, president, inaugurated the programme.

In his presidential speech, Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza said, "I am happy to be here to inaugurate the event. Lourdes Central School is a temple of learning. The school is well known for education, discipline and extracurricular activities in Mangaluru. I thank the management and staff for bringing up the standard of school to the international level of standard. I wish all the success to global music carnival and for the future endeavours of the school. God bless all".

Fr Michael Lobo, principal Lourdes Central School introduced the Sandalwood actress and guest of honour Yagna Shetty to the gathering on the occasion.

The cultural programmes kick started with classical Kathak, parents song, Bollywood dance, African Tribal, Russian ballet, Spanish tap dance, and many more.

Secretary of Catholic Board of Education, Fr Jerald D'Souza, vice-principal Belita Mascarenhas, convener Violet D’Souza, MLC Ivan D'souza, Nirmal D'Souza vice president of Bejai church council and others were present during the programme.

Melita compered the programme.
