Inter-religious marriage; Just married couple attacked

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (RJP)

Mangaluru, Nov 14: A just married couple was allegedly attacked today by the relatives of the bride within hours of getting married.

Interestingly, it is an inter religious marriage.

Madhush, a Hindu boy from Ambedkar Nagar Vamanjoor and his neighbour Zahida, a Muslim girl got married just in the morning of November 14 at Arya Samaj in Mangaluru. Both were said to be in love and had ojections from Zaida's parents and relatives for marriage. Zahida later changed her name as Mahalaxmi.

Later when the couple visited the Koraga temple at Urwa for prayers, it is said that persons known to Zahida alias Vijayalaxmi allegedly assaulted the couple.

The onlookers saved the couple from further attacks and informed the police.

Mahalaxmi has lodged a police complaint against her father Suhal Hamid, relative Yousuf and 8 others for assault at Barke police station.

for poor people, either boy or girl no one gives bride or groom respectively to them as the term status and financial reasons comes in between.

as a result there are lot of poor brides and grooms left unmarried and passed thier marriageable age in all religions.

if these these people marry, shunning the obstacles like caste, religion etc why others have to express thier dissappointment?

if they are so concerned, they should arrange brides and grooms to the people of thier respective communities by arranging financial assistance, finding brides and grooms etc.

most of the communities want thier peoples to be married within thier own community.no problem.but what poor can do as they cant afford societal evils present incour society like dowry etc.

in near future, financial condition will be main criteria in choosing brides and grooms rather than religion and community difference which is also another bad practice.

    good day,thanks

Dear Pro or Anti Love Jihad Commenters…. We can indulge in “Kesaraata” whenever we get an opportunity like this…. But try to understand the real problem aftermath of inter caste marriage. Why our forefathers and parents did always insists for arranged marriage? Today’s youths can elope with their loved Partners, get married and even ready to convert to their male Partner religion without knowing the impact on their future life….. Problem starts if their male partner dies before the old age or with small children in mother’s lap!!! Can she be allowed to go back to their Parental house? Will they be accepted back since she is converted to another religion? Will Male Partner’s parent treat this girl as if she is from their religion? No doubt this problem persist in arranged marriage too but percentage of after marriage problems much lower than inter cast marriage

Let the youths decide whom should they marry but does it require them to convert their life Partner to their religion? Can’t they register their marriage under Indian Marriage Act and give equal rights to women too? Here is the problem lying…. As soon they marry, they indulge in conversion to their religion and then the problem starts….If they really in deep love…then religion should not be the barrier or burden in their life……

All the readers who have commented her, if you have a son or daughter of 10-15 years age, be prepared. Our society is changing, people are thinking beyond the clutches of religion. Except for metric failed Bhajarangis and KFDs, you can see groups hanging around with individuals from different religions.

I believe and happen to practice that love is beyond religion. We all should support these kind of inter-religion marriages.
Of course, inter-religion marriages where girl is used and thrown away with some kind of Jihad as intension, have to be condemned and severely opposed.

It is natural that the relatives of the girl attacked the couple, which is similar to many such incidents taking places in inter cast marriages.
I don't buy with the argument of Daiji readers saying... what is the big deal?. Let them think what if she is their sister or daughter?.
However, such incidents are bound to happen again and again unless Muslim community ban dowry and embrace poor girls through marriage.

She loved him so she got coverted just to marry him, now since he loves her, he too should get converted to her religion to show his love for her !, that is true love.

They could have done a registered marriage and it would have solved the matter. Does Arya samaj offer marriage/conversion as a package offer ?

Why would sensible people let religious fundamentalists manage their marriage for them, with conversion included as part of the deal.

Whoever forces his or her spouse to convert as part of their marriage, does not appear to be a genuine person. When you fell in love with that person, their religion did not matter, then why force them to change when getting married, it is a sort of emotional blackmail and shows the one who forces the other to change in bad light.

If they have married on their free will,it is morally as well as legally right.
In such scenario, attack on this couple is 100% wrong!
If force is applied to convert then too it is 100% wrong!
If WRONGS are allowed, India will become lawless, rogue country.
Civilization is not by fear of law and punishment but adherence to the law of the country for own good.

This world would have been a peaceful and happier place to live had humanity been the first religion for everyone. Sadly, in today's scenario we change sides if the ball is not in our court, we do not practice what we preach and all the open minded thinking vanishes when we are at the receiving end.

My hearty wishes to the couple. keep her happy sir and take the help of law if somebody troubles you. Lastly, I wish and hope that all the inter community marriages should bound over true faith and love and not under the concept of 'marriage for revenge'.

In this case there is a sentiment from the girl's side for marrying someone they don't approve and this can happen to anyone. I don't think we should give a communal color to it. This is a family dispute until a mulla or a pundit gets in the way

I Know you love to live in the past ( R.S.S Methadology)...but my advice is to accept present ...no one will take anything at the END..( for Future)..if you all extremely take this present ( Power)..you will have sure END (2019 Election). Jai Hind..

everyone has right to live in this world according to his like or dislike. But one thing i want to say that those who get married intercaste they need to live together till their last breath and they shouldn't be faced any problems in future and to their children also, this marriage shouldn't be for a few days or for a few years.i have seen many incidents they will get married and life will ruin. later girl will come back to her parents house. if parents will not allow he or she will commit suicide.

Firstly, I am not against any love marriages! its their life, they should be choosing it, with proper rationale, cos they r going to spend their life laters.

But why Arya Samaj getting into this? WHY you need conversion? let th e girl practice her religion as it is.. thirdly, there is a "REGISTERED MARRIAGE BUREAU" which worked with one month notice etc.. these quick marriages give rise to doubts!...

However, if the girl didnt "have any juice", I really commend her decision.. she has stood besides her true love, without looking into caste, status, looks etc and may they live happily here after..

Hope this wont be case, that triggers to break up the Siddu's "AHINDA" unity of DK! there can be more atrocity and violence cases, if the two communities sit through and discuss sensibly...

    True-
Arya Samaj is getting into more controversial marriages which disturb social harmony these days.
Let them desist from these actions in the interest of harmonious co-existence in the society.
Let the couples in future go for Registered Marriages with due notice of their intent, which courts also will approve rather than doing something for GAIN!

TUJHE KYA LAGTA HAI..? Ki attack kiye woh sab Zahida ke relative hain..? Ye log bhi, SDPI, DFYI, ABCD, FDI, KLPD sanghatan ke honge! ... lekin "DALIT ATROCITY" case mein seedhe andar jaaoge, karke, Siddu ne hi bola hoga, toh chup ho gaye hain! ... behas mat karo.. hum bhi Story bana sakte hain.. :)

As long it is not forceful marriage and any groups not involved to supervise the marriage it is their wish to marry. Here it is the question arise why it is not in any other temple of registered office. People are killing each other in the name of religion end of the world is near.

Hearty congratulations to the newly wed couple.I am still skeptish about this interreligious marraige, because last one like this had next day the u -turn taken. When this is really a love marraige ,not involved in some dirty affair, let them live their life and let others also not mix and create nonsense.otherwise parents have to search their children.Let them be happy with their choice.
