Kundapur, Nov 13: A young man committed suicide by hanging in a lodge at Kundapur on Thursday, November 13.
The deceased has been identified as Raghavendra Poojary, son of Hebrimane Narasimha Poojary.
Raghavendra who had worked for 15 years in hotel industry had started his bakery business two years back in Bengaluru.
On Thursday at around 10.45 am, Raghavendra checked into hotel Diplomat, which is located in the heart of Kundapur and booked a double room. It is said that, he purchased a new bag and filled nylon rope inside it.
According to the hotel sources, he had ordered a bottle of beer. The hotel staff noticed that Ragavendra did not come out of the room even after late evening. They found the room key hanging in the key hole. When the staff tried to open it, the room was locked from inside. Later, hotel staff noticed that inside the room Ragavendra's body was hanging in nylon rope tied to the fan.
In his death note, Ragavendra accused his friend who was responsible for breaking his marriage proposal. The death note stated, “My friend (Whose name was not mentioned) has done black magic on me, and broke my marriage proposal. I wanted to be happy by getting married to the girl whom I liked, but my friend injected me with something, after that my life had spoiled".
Ragavendra urged police to act against his Friend in his death note. "I will become a good husband in my next life with the same girl with whom I was engaged", the death note concluded.
More details on his background were not available, but his parents said that he was suffering from mild stomach ache for which he was taking treatment in his native place. Other than that he had no problem.
