Siddu is busy sleeping. The Transport Minister is busy collecting. The Police is pimping. Who cares for rules and lives as long as my wife and children are safe under security plus my pockets are filled constantly! Waiting for the day when the minister is weeping on the dead body of his own child crushed underneath a speeding bus on the highway.

Bus association is stronger than RTO/ Police. These authorities are nicely fed by the association. God please save us from speeding buses.

RTO/Traffic police should take some kind of action. instead of doing traffic checking at the end of month for whatever the reason, it should be conducted daily base for major mistake like overspeed, bus condition, without license, other some other person driving the bus etc. if the authority fail to control this then it become a daily news like rape news.

bikers have to wear helmets. what about over speeding buses which have caused so many accidents still no steps from the traffic authorities? you move at your speed on a highway they will honk and force you to move at their speed. try this out on mangalore karkala route. buses dont care for other vehicles and move as if they are at a racing competition.

In the account it is stated that a speeding bus rammed into a tipper. It is time that all transport vehicles are fitted with SPEED GOVERNORS.

As long as private buses ply in Mangalore... we will never be free from such accidents!! Mangalore/Udupi is perhaps the only place in India with private city buses. I wonder how many more lives have to be sacrificed before the Mangaloreans stand up to stop this menace of a bus lobby that has long lost its conscience... and the competitions and speeding will continue... and so will our stupid comments here... Public memory is short lived after all...

All the busses in Mangaluru are speeding. Why can't government introduce speed governers and fix their speed to 45 KM/hr? How many lives have to be lost before it is done? Police are unable to do anything about it.

I am not at all surprised that this bus met with an accident! I travelled this morning by this bus and went through the chilling experience of the totally reckless and callous manner in which the bus was being driven. Although I cannot say whether the driver who was driving the bus in the morning was the same when the mishap took place, the manner in which the bus was being driven compelled me to draw the conductor's attention but all he did was perfunctorily shrug his shoulders. Without doubt, the driver deserves condign punishment and should be dealt with very severely by the police. If he is let off with just a warning, this man will certainly continue to be a threat to the others on the road.

Almost every 15 number bus is nuisance to society. I am happy one is less on road for a while. Sad that people got injured but the Driver survived. Public should request ACP to post Traffic Police
in Civil dress to catch the speeding drivers. Also Policeman on Motor Bikes should be kept ready to chase and catch violators.
