Bahrain, Nov 13: An evening of top-class music and entertainment awaits people from Karnataka in Bahrain later this month as renowned stars and singers will take to the stage at the Indian Club Bahrain.
The much-awaited "Ramee Rasa Sanje 2014" will be organised by Namma Kannada Bahrain in association with the Indian Club as part of the latter's Centenary celebrations, on November 21.

While acclaimed singers Rameshchandra, Ravi Shankar, Sinchan Dixit will take the audience on a musical journey of melodious songs and fresh new numbers, comedian Dayanand will tickle the audience's funny bone with his raw humour.
'Nenapirali' Prem, a leading Kannada film star, will add glamour to the event, which will also feature dances by talented local artists.
“Ramee Rasa Sanje”, which has made a name among the 20,000-strong Kannada community in the kingdom after three successful shows in recent years, also marks the Kannada Rajyotsava (anniversary of statehood) celebrations.
Prem is a sought-after actor in the Kannada film world and the heart-throb of thousands of fans. Having started his career with the film "Praana", he won the Filmfare Best Actor award twice for "Nenapirali" and "Charminar".
The actor, who prefers to be called Nenapirali Prem, has already done 20 films and is the hero of three upcoming movies.
Ravishankar, who shot to fame as Dr Vittal Rao in the popular TV sitcom Silli Lalli, is a very talented actor and singer too. He entered the big screen with a lead role in the Payana. He received critical acclaim for his performance as a deaf person in Snehitaru. His other movies include "Nanjangud Nanjunda", "Akka Pakka", "Mangana Kaili Maanikya" and "Jai Lalitha". His rendering of songs of Kannada's superstar Rajkumar has endeared him to Bahrain audience, who will welcome him for the third time.
Rameshchandra, who started his playback singing career in 1996 with “Anuraga Sangama” film, is known for his melodious songs. His songs for “O Mallige” became a big hit and in 2001 he won the Karnataka State Award for the film Munnudi. Rameshchandra has sung more than 100 songs for over 75 films in many languages. He has also more than 4,000 songs to his credit in devotional and other albums.
The singer is making his second visit to Bahrain for the event.
Sinchan Dixit, an A Grade All India Radio artist, has sung for more than a dozen movies, including "Mansugala Mathu Madhura", "Kingfisher", "Ondu Preetiya Kathe," "Yogi", "Veera Madakari," "Minchu", etc. She has worked with many leading music directors of the Kannada film industry. Dixit, who hosted a TV show titled "Noorondu Nenapu", has also acted in TV serials. The talented singer, who has given hundreds of live shows all over the world, has won many awards including the Youth Icon Award from Bharatiya Vidya Kendra.
Dayanand is the king of Kannada comedy and is also a well-known mimic artist. Multi-talented Dayanand has acted in more than 100 films and has made a mark in the theatre as well as TV fields. He is visiting Bahrain for the third time on popular demand.
The event, to be held at the Indian Club’s open air theatre from 6.00 pm, is expected to draw a crowd of about 1,500 people. Entry is free.
