Margao, Nov 7: Two Medical students of Nagpur Medical College went missing at Colva beach while bathing and three were reportely rescued by life guards and people.

According to Colva Police, a team of 139 students and 2 professors of the college were down in Goa on an educational tour on November 5. They had stayed in a hotel at Mapuca.

On Tuesday morning they first visited Calangute beach and in the evening they proceeded towards Colva beach and some of the students went for swimming.

Five of the students among them were dragged inside the sea by high current of waves, after which Pratik Gaurkar (20) and Aniruddha Bhobe ( 19) have gone missing and are feared to be dead. Swapnil Bhobe (19), Swapnil Wagh (19), and Rahul Dithode (19) were rescued by life guards and other people around.

Soon three of them were first rushed to Hospicio Hopital for treatment and thereafter to Goa medical college at Bambolim.

The Colva police said that they have contacted their families in Nagpur. Search work to trace the bodies is on.
