Mangalore, Nov 6: ‘Kedige India’, an exhibition of paintings by Rajendra Kedige, a member of Artists Forum (R) Udupi will be held in collaboration with Shatabdi Graphics Pvt Ltd from Nov 10 to 14 at Prasad Art Gallery Ballalbagh.

Vasanth Rao, Art and Creative director of Shatabdi Graphics Pvt Ltd briefing the press persons here on Monday said that the exhibition will be inaugurated by Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president of Dakshina Kannada District Kannada Sahitya Parishad at 10.30 am.

K A Jayachandra, president, Shubhodaya Education Trust Mangalore will be the chief guest. Mattar Ramesh Kini, chairman of Mattar Anand Kini and Sons, Udupi will preside over the function, he said.

Introducing the artist, Rao said that Rajendra Kedige was born to a family of artists. “His penchant for an individualistic approach and compositional pattern set him apart from the rest.”

Like his mother and sisters he formed his medium more congenial to nature and whatever expressions evolving in his works have native simplicity. His works give more credence to thought and the abiding vision.

Kedige is the director of ‘The Designers’ which is a graphic unit. His paintings adorn the walls of well known showrooms of Mangalore city. His paintings have been displayed in the exhibition organized by Artists’ Forum, Udupi and published on www.deekaypages.com which is portal website of Dakshina Kannada district.
