D'Souza threatens to quit if not made CM

Panaji, Nov 7 (IANS): In a development which could embarrass the BJP on the eve of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar's impending elevation to the union cabinet, Deputy Chief Minister Francis D'Souza threatened to quit the government if he was not made the chief minister.

The tantrum by D'Souza comes a day before the Bharatiya Janata Party swears in a new chief minister following the elevation of Parrikar to the union cabinet, possibly as defence minister.

"If I am not made chief minister, I do not wish to continue in the government," said D'Souza, who has the backing of six BJP legislators, including at least three Catholic legislators and two independents.

Since Friday morning, a section of BJP's Catholic legislators have been demanding that a Catholic be made the chief minister.

Two of the top contenders for the Goa chief minister's post are Health Minister Laxmikant Parsekar and Speaker of the assembly Rajendra Arlekar.

Dear Francis D'Souza, Deputy CM of Goa, please remember speaking nonsense that Indian Christians are Hindu Christians just to appease your political bosses doesn't pay. Learn to be a balanced man and do not serve with a hidden agenda. Now you will see the true colours of your political bosses when they don the mantle of Chief Ministership to a person other than you.

I think BJP got an excellent chance to prove them their minority supporting face too. Like Manohar Parrikar's current Deputy Chief Minister Francis D'Souza too quite a capable person and non-corrupt persona too.

RSS & BJP are inconsistent in caste and religions in politics.
They brought in Temple and Hindu Nation issue.
But after swearing in as P.M. extended hand of friendship to all neighboring countries, and made commitment that development is main issue.
Temple and Hindu nation issue kept at back burner.
Often BJP / RSS admire caste less China and Japan for development retaining culture and strict discipline in governance.
Often BJP / RSS hate Pakistan's fundamentalism, knows countries that followed it, met with disaster.
But some time they too follow them.
    Is religion a criteria?

Even Jaffer Sharif though he had qualities to be come a CM, congress just sidelined him. Congress uses minorities as vote bank pawns. Italina amma and her son Puppu are holding chair though beaten by all. Now slowly core congress are also realizing the truth. One fine day both will be kicked out!!

Usual down point for the BJP Conflicts in Leadership and Splits... This is where it was admirable of Shrimati Sonia Gandhi, She was able to control all the Ministers and keep them in line. It's up to the BJP top Management to see the decision is made at the earliest and avoid conflict.

I do not think in Catholic there is upper caster or lower caste but certainly there are rich and poor people in Catholic/Christian. You reached Singapore still you think Christians are upper caste.

Mr. D'Souza should earn CM chair and not ask for it. May be Modi should show him the door.

In MNC Companies, when the Manager is elevated for higher position, then the deputy/assistant Mgr, becomes Mgr.

Here the RSS mother elects their mummy boy. So the boy has to go the mummy RSS to get the new position. It is not qualification but the mummy RSS has to for the CM position.

What a double standard by BJP?

Serves him right. Was he not the same man, who pompously d that he is a HINDU CATHOLIC? I don't think the RSS-remote controlled BJP would allow a Catholic to become CM. Even if he was made the CM for tactical reason, he would not last.

Sanjeeva, to hell with your ratio
    philosophy, talk about inclusive development.
    Remember, statistics lie sometimes.
Read carefully this story: There was a headline in the news, "100% of the female candidates failed in the S.S.C exam". What a bad name for females.?!!!
Incidentally, there was only a single lady who attended the exam. So, your ratios are bull...t, reality that matters.
