Ahmedabad, Nov 6 (IANS): India took a 2-0 lead in the five-match One-Day International series with a comfortable six-wicket win against Sri Lanka at the Sardar Patel Stadium here Thursday.
Electing to bat, Sri Lanka scored 274 for eight, thanks largely to captain Angelo Mathews' unbeaten 92 and Kumar Sangakkara (61).
In reply, a 122-run partnership for the second wicket between Shikhar Dhawan (79) and Ambati Rayudu (121 not out) helped India reach 275 for four in 44.3 overs with captain Virat Kohli chipping in with 49 off 44 balls.
