Shah told me to accept new responsibility: Parrikar

Panaji, Nov 6 (IANS): Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar Thursday virtually confirmed his move to the union cabinet, saying BJP president Amit Shah had asked him to accept any responsibility offered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Parrikar, however, did not specify if he had been offered the defence ministry.

Admitting he had mixed feelings about the impending promotion, Parrikar told the media that his successor in Goa would be appointed before the swearing in of new central ministers expected to be held Sunday.
