Mangaluru boy Ankush N Nayak wins talent show at US varsity

Mangaluru, Nov 4: Ankush N Nayak from Mangaluru has won the first prize for playing the ‘Sitar’ at the ‘International Students Got Talent 3’, a talent show contest held at the University of Arizona, USA.


Musicians, dancers, and martial arts performers from all over the world including India, Poland, Spain, China, South Korea, Kuwait, Mexico, and Angola had participated in the event. Nayak got a standing ovation for his performance at the packed Gallagher Theater.

Ankush is a Masters student in Material Science and Engineering at the University of Arizona . He is a former student of the city’s Expert Pre-University College. He was accompanied by Karthik Srinivasan on ‘Mridangam’. Srinivasan is a Ph D student at the same university.
