Shyamprasad suicide case : CID summon Prabhakar Bhat

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (DV)

Mangaluru, Nov, 3: Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, RSS leader from Dakshina Kannada has been summoned by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Bangalore to seek some information in the suicide case of Shyamprasad.

Shyamprasad (55) a resident of Puttur had shot himself with a country gun at his residence on August 31 and had died at a private hospital later in Mangaluru.

It is said that the deceased had a telephonic conversation with Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat before the suicide. And on basis of this, the CID have now summoned Dr Bhat, it is gathered,

In a death note found at Shyamprasad's house, Shyamprasad had reportedly stated that he was taking the extreme step due to threat calls he received from the Ramachandrapura Math in connection to the sexual harassment case against its spiritual head Raghaveshwara Bharati.

The Puttur police had registered a case under sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 306 (abetment of suicide) of the IPC and 66A of the Information Technology Act (sending offensive messages through communication service).

The CID team also had visited Shastri's house in Badekkila in Kedila village on September 15 and recorded statements from Shastri's wife, son and some relatives.

It may be recalled here that Anshumathi Shastri, daughter of Diwakara Shastry and Premalatha, residents of Banashankari in Bangalore, had alleged Sri Raghaveshwara Bharati and his disciples of sexual harassment. Based on her complaint, the police had registered a case against the swamiji and others under IPC sections 354A (sexual harassment) and 506 (criminal intimidation).

Premalatha was one of the performers in Ramakatha, a group dance based on mythology, for the last three years, organised by the Math. Diwakara Shastry was closely associated with the Math's administration.

The deceased Shyamprasad Shastry is the brother of Diwakara Shastry.

Truth will be out soon while, it may sound strange to the sub-consciously blind & deaf, but my own family and relatives (specifically those from north-kanara, shimoga,sirsi..etc) & some overseas blind dodos are now regretting their initial reactions.

Truth will get out, guilty "may" escape but historic damage done :-(

CID has never taken any action against any powerful persons under 66-A of Cyber Law. This cyber Law is reserved by CID only for helpless people.
In this case also I am sure that CID will never take any Action under 66-A of IT Act.

It is high-time this crook is kicked out of the Havayaka community!

The BJP too should distance itself from such goons & criminals who are so-called supporters of a most-controversial Swami who is trying to evade the law.

According to the family of Shyamprasad, the death-note specifically named the young, canny Godman and few powerful landlords apart from this well-known, hate-mongering thug from Kalladka (a retarded villain & blot on the respected community), who has always managed to escape the law!

Why has the shameless escapist yet powerful person (who sarcastically claims that he wants truth to come out) not even been arrested and a medical check-up done despite all sorts of tangible evidence from controversial meetings to mobile call-records to DNA...etc.

How can the common-man have faith in the judiciary, police and Govt when such crimes are openly committed against women. And regretfully the victims are tortured while the guilty go scot-free and make a complete mockery of justice!

If anyone has an iota of concern about the community and 1300 year old Ramachandrapur Math, he would quit and do penance.
