Twist in Thirthahalli death case - Girl neither raped nor abducted

Daijiworld Media Network – Shivamogga (RJP)

Shivamogga, Nov 3: Police sources have revealed that high school student Nandita, who died on October 31 in Manipal hospital, was not raped.

The complaint lodged by the father also did not mention rape, but an attempt to murder.

But the question still remains as to the cause of Nandita's death. As per some sources, Nandita might have consumed poison which resulted in her death.

Now, as per sources, the deceased, an 8th standard student went with a boy whom she knew very well in a car, and was not abducted by unknown persons as claimed earlier. It is said that later she was spotted talking with the boy by some people and the parents upon knowing about it came and took her home. There is a possibility that as the parents told her not to see the particular boy again, the girl might have consumed poison out of depression or anger.

Meanwhile, Thirthahalli police have registered cases against three persons for various offenses including under POCSO Act. Three police teams are on the lookout for them. If some sources are to be believed, one person has been already taken into custody.

A peace meeting was held under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner of Shivamogga district. Holiday has been declared on November 3 for all schools and colleges in Thirthahalli. Section 144 has been imposed in the town till November 10.

The local MLA Kimmane Ratnakar who is also the state education minister has blamed anti-social elements for creating unrest in the town by spreading rumours.

    Hi All,

We cant do any more perception here we shud not blame any category or person we need to blame the person who has done this crime and the police department who are always keeping an eye on money and not in this type of circumstances. Who ever has done this crime will get to know very soon and that person shud be handed over to the public if the government really wants to not only control this kind of circumstances but to abolish this kind of incidents.Every community shud join hands to safeguard the childrens and Girls.

While journalism is only about stating facts how can you malign the character of the victim girl by such build up stories? If you can't hold on journalism standards because you are politically pressurised at least keep humanity standards. She was found in a jungle screaming for help and was poisoned before. Her parents denied about any death note and also it was not her hand writing. The teacher in her school says she was good in studies and her character was good. So what are you trying to twist here..?!

Certainly I knew this would result in similar fate...!

when there were no arrests made yet, for last 4-5 days, and when BJP had to do protest and when Kimmane didnt go to the funeral of the girl.. I realised, this case, will take a U-TURN for good...! they can prove the girl didnt die only now... what were the cops doing..? didnt they record her death statement..?

Just take that alleged garage guy, who was her neighbor, into custody... he will talk like a parrot..! Such cases need to be dealt with iron fist..! let him be from any community!

by the way, there is another rape in Davanagere on a 4 yr old kid it seems..! god save karnataka...

No.. UP is altogether a different world! there human life has no value! People dont even spare those girls who step out to attend natural call. And cops of faijzabad, themselves give illogical statements like "entertainment nahi hai".. KHAPS say "CHINESE CHOWMEIN KHAATE HAIN" and MULAYAM Says "BACCHON SE GALTI HO JAATI HAI"!

basically, you cant change UP, and its beyond repair now. What we can do instead is, stop getting Karnataka being another Uttar pradesh.. cos people here are logical, educated and have some common sense...

Dont see it as BJP ruled and congress ruled..see it as "backward in thinking or forward in thinking"!! No girl, is up for grabs- this should be message taught to each Male. Mardangi, taango ke beeech mein nahi hoti.. if u try such act, police will beat u between the legs - if this message is passed, sanity can be restored.!

We have a young generation in two extrimities. 1. Which is gentle, innocent 2. Can get away with everything.

Moral policing affects first one more than the 2nd set. It harms gentle, innocent lives more than one that could get away with everything. If such lives are to be preserved moral policing must stop, as it affects gentle hearts emotionally. It is high time for society to wake up.
