Mangaluru, Nov 2: A nine-day long silver jubilee celebration of Sunni Students Federation (SSF) culminated with CM Siddaramaiah inaugurating ‘Humanistic conference’ to spread the message of humanity at Nehru Maidan, here on Sunday, November 2.
CM Siddaramaiah lauded the efforts of SSF silver jubilee yatra of the entire state propagating the message of ‘Respecting humanity’ on the occasion.
The Karnataka Yatre which started on October 25 in Gulbarga initiated and led by AP Abubaker Musliyar of Kanthapuram, ended in Mangalore after covering 20 districts and covering 2100 kilometres in nine days.
After inaugurating ‘Humanistic conference’, CM said, “Everyone in India should fight against terrorism and communalism. Terrorism is a serious hurdle for the growth of nation. We see many people killed in the act of terrorism. Abubaker has condemned terrorist’s activities. All Muslims should unite and fight against terrorism and communalism. Despite the growth in education, terrorist’s activities are increasing which is sad. Terrorism spoils the peace of nation. We will handle terrorism without succumbing to anybody’s pressure. Our motto is to give equal opportunity and equality as per the constitutions of India. Many criticize me for giving the projects for the minority sections which is not right. As a CM, I am carrying out my duty to work for the poor”.
Speaking on the duty and responsibility of youth to curb the anti social elements in society, CM said, “Youth should take an oath today that they are not going behind any communal forces and should not involve in dividing the society. Take today’s message home and spread it in society”.
He further promised to work for the prosperity of the state and transparent governance in the state.
SSF’s silver jubilee yatra of the state has truly worked in spreading humanity in society, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, AP Abubaker Musliyar said, “India is our country. We have to protect our diversity and fight against terrorism and communalism. We don’t need Muslims from outside India to worry about the internal security of Muslims in India. Internal security has been secured by constitutions of India and we believe in it. In Kerala, posters, notices and bills are promoting extremism and terrorism which is a conspiracy to defame Islam and transparent investigation should be carried out”.
Speaking on Jammu and Kashmir issue, Abubaker said, “Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and should always remain in India. We need Kashmiri soil and people in India”.
He also stressed that Islam promotes peace not terrorism.
He was very happy to travel the state as part of silver jubilee celebration of SSF which began from Gulbarga and culminated in Mangalore. He also told CM that Sunni Students Federation and youth are very powerful in spreading the message of humanity in society.
He was against youth joining terrorist groups and issued a fatwa against joining the ISI.
