Mangalore, Oct 31: Father Muller, a priest had started a small medical center in Kanakanady in 1880. It has made gigantic progress in all medical spheres and is now one of the leading hospitals in the country.
As part of commemoration of the death anniversary of Fr Muller, a Don Bosco Hostel Block-2 and Utility Building will be inaugurated on Saturday November 1 at 9.15 am. Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, Bishop of Mangalore will be inaugurating the buildings.
Utility Building is adjacent to Fr Muller's Road in Kankanady with a modern medical store. It has a waiting lounge and a token system. Sample collection lab, Homeopathic inpatient department and Medical dispensing facilities are provided there.
The building also has skills lab for medical students, Syndicate Bank, second ATM facility in the premises, Father Muller's canteen and parking facilities for two wheelers and four wheelers. The Don Bosco hall second block to be inaugurated has a ground floor and five storey building with 80 air conditioned rooms and 277 rooms for students.
The Swatch Bharath Campaign will be held at Mangalore Catholic diocese level in all churches and associations on the occasion. The campaign will be set in motion at Valencia circle.
