Mangalore, Oct 27: "Preparations are on in full swing for the Vishwa Tuluvera Parba- 2014 organized by Akhila Bharata Tulu Okkuta in collaboration with the Karnataka Tulu Sahithya Academy which will be held from December 12 to 14 at premises of Sahyadri Engineering College, Adyar," said state minister, president of Vishwa Tuluvera Parba, B Ramanath Rai.
He was addressing a press meet at Pathu Mudi Saudha, Janatha Deluxe here on Monday October 27.
" We have requested Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to inaugurate the event and he has agreed to our request. This programme is organized to reflect the glory of 'Tulunadu.' The Committee also approached the Chief Minister seeking financial support for the event from the government and have submitted a memorandum; CM has assured to provide the financial support," he added.
"The programme has been organized with the support of several people. Tulu speaking people from all over the world will be part of this cultural and traditional extravaganza. There will be a display of traditional cuisines of Tulunadu, sports and games and literary programmes will also be organized on the occasion.
M Janaki Bhramavar, president of Karnataka Tulu Sahithya Academy, M B Puranik, president of Finance Committee for Vishwa Tuluvera Parba, Pradeep Kalkura, A C Bhandary, Adyar Mahabal Shetty, Damodhar Nisarga, Kadri Navaneeth Shetty and others were present for the meet.
