Mangalore to get high tech E- toilets soon

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (RJP)

Mangalore, Oct 23: The Mangalore City Corporation has decided to introduce high tech toilets in Mangalore city very soon.

These box type high tech toilets with overhead water tanks are also called E toilets. The E toilets will be installed throughout the city in crowded areas. The E toilet can be shifted anywhere with ease.

The E toilets are not manned and are fully automatic. When a coin is inserted in the specified slot, the door opens. After the toilet is used, the water system automatically flushes the toilet and a pleasant fragrance is released to freshen up the atmosphere inside. The door also closes automatically after a person exits.

The toilets are installed near the drainage systems. There is also a provision to connect solar power to these toilets instead of normal electricity supply.

A Saudi based company operating from Kerala has been in talks with Mangalore City Corporation in providing these e toilets.

The commercial advertisements around the e toilets will subsidize the expenses incurred towards instalment and maintenance of the E toilets.

Visitors to Mangalore have been complaining about the sanitary facilities available in the city. There are few toilets available, much less than required. And the presently available toilets are totally unhygienic. We hope the E toilet concept brings a relief to the existing problem.

They should also fix a tablet on the door inside so that the user can keep himself occupied during the entire process.

Suggested apps: Candy crush, temple run, google maps, book myshow, redbus, restaurants nearby etc. Including some motivational songs.

    Mohammed, MoodbidriThursday, October 23, 2014
People using regularly same e toilet in one area should be given special offer like single coin 2 visit.

few e toilet should be fixed on back of bus plying long distances.

Guys I have gone through with most of the comments, I really had enough laugh. Most of the comments are really humorous. If you study and analyze about the significance of the implementation of this project, you may feel that MCC either too fast towards the cleanliness or to remove the burdens from its shoulder in the name of Modi's cleanliness program. however, it is not only a matter of implementation of "E-Toilette" the name perhaps seems to be hi-fi (honestly mangalore is not a hi-tech city at all) our city is not fit to have such sophisticated system. We have so much of development works to do, this item is not in the priority list at all. I am sure, somebody wants to play with the budget (bl##dy political crooks & corporate mafia). I urge all mangaloreans to protest against this project, for sure there will be a disaster, since it is an portable and can be moved anywhere, you will not find a single E-Toilets in the city. By the investigation team starts its business its already sold and recycled.

There should be a programmed time limit to use the toilet or else there will be a long queue outside waiting for the money you pay.And if the toilet user is late to come out he must be made to pay again for the doors to open also. This system may help the user to come out in time to benefit other users and avoid long queues.

Whatever development as been done there is some wrong comments for that.No country will become automatically developed unless & until we involve in it. Sitting in other country & commenting is very easy instead work here & be the part of development.

It will be an good move if done. If there is no water in tank the door should not open and ed coin should bounce back. There will not be possible to accommodate two person at the same time due to space constraint and it can be designed to only limited weight at a time or else door doesn't get locked.
