Panaji, Oct 25: Hinting at possible political migrations in Goa, All India Congress committee general secretary Margaret Alva on Tuesday said that few BJP legislators in Goa were in talks with Congress leaders to join Congress.

"Some were interested and have spoken to our people but I have nothing to announce at this moment,” Alva told reporters waiting outside Goa chief minister Pratapsingh Rane’s official residence last night.

Alva was down to attend the coordination committee meeting which was attended by chief minister Pratapsingh rane, member of parliament Shantaram Naik, Churchill Alemao and others.

Talking to the reporters, Alva said that it would be individual decisions of legislators to join congress and in past some from the rival political parties have already joined us and are successfully running the government.

“Noting is impossible in politics,” she commented when asked whether any migration from BJP to congress is possible in recent future.

The AICC general secretary stated that during her Goa visit she had threadbare discussion on constituency related issues with the congress legislators.

She said that the three-hour-long meeting incorporated discussions on vital issues concerning Goa’s development.

“There was also talks on alliance during polls.. but nothing is decided,” she said.
