As we watching illegal gold coming to India by various types, better make it duty free. Even remove the custom limitations on Passengers goods. Any how, normally no will bring Items more than 40-50KG. Even removal of customs on passengers goods will not effect on revenue. Because we having several other ways to collect revenue like Traffic, Liquor. etc...
Normally when an passenger came from abroad, customs officers looks for suck the blood & ready to snatch the money by legally or illegally.. Custom officer need only check the explosion goods or banned items like drugs..
If it continue like that, all foreigners will start to invest in abroad itself & our currency will go worster than current rate.
Even its an joke that, India putting extra custom tax on Televisions. Its all game to support Indian market..
Dear Modi, jst think by open mind & try to give relief to foreigners.

That too by removing the original ones. they can fix 2gms of each teeth x 32 = 64gms. paint it with white enamel and Custom officer may not see. if they see he will become toothless smuggler.

The art of gold smuggling is an old one and several methods have been tried by various smugglers and it is very difficult to arrest this trend as new and new methods will be invented and what the Customs seize is only a tip of the ice berg. Smuggling will not reduce even if import duty is lessened, the people of Kasargod and Bhatkalees have stuck into getting monstrous profits.
