Kasargod, Oct 20: In a gruesome incident, a home nurse was brutally murdered and buried in coconut farm pit at Chendera Police limits.
Victim is identified as the Rajani(32), resident of Trikaripur. She was working for private nursing home at Chervathoor.
Related to this crime, Neeleshwara police have arrested Sathish(40), resident of Neeleshwara Kanchar and partner of the private nursing home.
Rajani's dead body was found in coconut farm pit near Sathish's residence in coconut farm. Today morning, a team headed by DYSP Harischandra Nayak took out the mortal remains from the pit.
It is also said that the Rajani was missing since September 5. It has been revealed that Sathish and Rajani were in love. Rajani was forcing Sathish to get married , but Sathish was already married with two children. Hence he did not agree to marry Rajani. Due to this a clash erupted between both.
Sathish killed Rajani by strangulation and after confirming her death, carried her dead body in his car and buried it in Kanchar coconut farm.
On Sunday when the foul smell erupted from the pit, the police were informed.
Police who came to the spot started to investigate the case and when Sathish was subjected to inquiry, the truth came out.
It is also said in the initial stage itself family members doubted Sathish. Sathish was told to come to the police station twice for an interrogation. But he never revealed the truth. Police only started doubting after Sathish absconded. Police also confiscated his Omni car.
While police got the information about the dead body buried in coconut farm, they probed the matter further and Sathish revealed the truth. Later, the mortal remains were taken out for further tests.
Missing case was filed on September 18 by the deceased's father Kannan.
