Mangalore: Rushali wins first prize in national Karate championship

Mangalore, Oct 20: Rushali M Salian has won the first prize in Kata section and third prize in Kumite section in the 32nd All India Budokan Karate Federation championship competition in 12-13 age female categories held recently in Mangalore.

Rushali is the daughter of Ashok and Deepalakhmi Salian from Konchady and is an eighth standard student of Canara high school in Urwa, Mangalore. She is trained under Pratheek Poojary of Institute of Karate and allied arts. She has participated in various championships in taluk, district and state levels in the past. Rushali is also a good dancer and performs for nandagokula troupe from Arehole.
