Mangalore, Oct 19: BJP State Unit president Prahalad Joshi who visited city today celebrated party's lead in Harayana and Maharastra in state assembly elections. Addressing a press meet here in district BJP office, he said "For the first time in Harayana state, BJP is likely to form government. Voters of both states in Harayana and Maharastra have given clean mandate to the party. In both the states, BJP has emerged prominent party."
He also said that " I will congratulate the voters of both the states. Nearly 40% of voters have voted for the BJP party. Congress is likely to be ineligible to even be an opposition party. People have rejected the Congress party. Even after losing elections, the Congress party leaders in our state have not learnt any lesson and our state is suffering.
Prahalad Joshi, commenting on the police assault on Bajarang Dal activist, Charan at Kavoor station limits said " Police Commissioner has not taken any action against the police inspector Umesh Kumar. Commissioner is behaving like agent of Congress. He should remember and realize that validity of Congress is expired. Congress government will never be permanent. Officers should work as per the law, not according to the politicians. Commissioner should take proper action against the inspector." he added.
On the move of State government rejecting Justice Somashekar's report on church attacks, Joshi said "Congress government has rejected the Justice Somashekar report on church attacks as the report clearly states that there is no involvement of Sangha Parivar in the attack. Rejecting Someshkar's report is an insult to the former Justice Somashekar. Congress government is supporting hate politics. From the time of Gandhijji's death till today, Congress is trying to trap Sangha Parivar. This is their strategy". he said.
BJP activists celebrated the party lead in assembly elections in Harayana and Maharastra by burning crackers and distributing the sweets.
On this occasion MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Ravishankar Mijar, Kishor Rai and others were present.
