Mangalore: VHP, Bajrang Dal decry rejection of church attacks report

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Oct 17: Both Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP)and Bajrang Dal have condemned the state government's move in rejecting the report of Justice Somashekara Commission of Inquiry which went into attacks on churches in the state in the year 2008.

"The people of the state have forgotten the bitter memories of these incidents which occurred six years ago. The government, by rejecting the report of the commission now, has made a fresh bid to disrupt peace in the society," they alleged.

They pointed out that crores of rupees have already been spent towards investigating these incidents through judicial inquiry by spending public funds.

"The rejection of the commission's report has proved the extent to which the government trusts the judiciary. The state government, which has failed to implement development-oriented projects, has been showing undue interest in bringing into force anti-Hindu laws. Both VHP and Bajrang Dal stoutly oppose appointment of another commission for going into church attack incidents," said Jagadish Shenava, president of VHP local unit.

Rejection of the report is welcome. But the factual report should be published within a time frame of 6 months on fast track basis. A thief is always afraid of a policeman. IT is a natural instinct. So it is with the Saffron brigade. Let the LAW extend its long arms around your neck and gently lead you to the four walls called "Prison". The guilty should taste and see how good the prison can be for the crimes committed by them.

Thank you for your comment and praise God that Mr. Pai found Jesus and may God bless him and his family as well as his community as he serves God by helping the rejected.

Whether we are Christians or non-Christians, most of us rebel against Christ at one point or another in our lives. The history of the church is filled with many people who persecuted it e.g. St. Paul persecuted the Church before he met Jesus, and yet Christ loved them in all their doubts and attacks and transformed their hearts of stone into a heart of flesh.

What people do not understand and often forget is their belief (Atheist, Theist, etc.) affects how they see and live in God's creation. If Mr. Prabhu is truly an Atheist, then he will view every fellow human being as nothing more than a biological product and hence helping the biological product (e.g. blind man, etc.) is a pure waste of time as those biological products are defective (and must be eliminated because only the fittest should survive) if the Theory of Evolution is correct. While Atheists also help other people in the community, the actions of helping a fellow human being contradicts the Atheistic belief.

Christ loved those who hated him and he conquers hate and this is why we need to pray for both Christians and non-Christians and love them just as Christ loved us, so that Christ will show them the way.

If we consider Religions for all the following six faith’s followers the constitution provides all of them to preach propagate and practice any religion.

    1) Jews have their Old Testament TANAKA – Their Holy Book.
    2) Christians have Holy Bible – Includes Old Testament and the New Testament.
    3) Hindus have Veidhaas - Their Pavithra/holy Book.
    4) Buddhists have their Tripitaka/The Diamond Sutra – Their Holy Book
    5) Sikhs, Jains have their own Pavithr Granth - Their Holy Book
    6) Muslims have their Quran – Their Noble Quran.

IS ATHEISM A RELIGION – AND WHAT IS THEIR HOLY BOOK?! OR HOLY SCRIPTURES?!

Atheist Richard Dawkins – God Delusion.- Surely God is the solution.
For God Delusion there is no Solution because God is supreme.

ATHEISM IS NOT EVEN CONSIDERED A RELIGION AS PER THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA.
Atheism is a group of individuals existed after the presence of God.
Without God is there an atheist on earth because of God there are Atheists.
    Very Pathetic Positions of Atheists.
WITHOUT A HOLY BOOK THERE IS NO RELIGION.

Atheism3 can be defined in the contemporary western sense: not just the lack of belief in a god, but the assertion about the non-existence of any gods, spirits, or divine or supernatural beings. Atheists in this sense are metaphysical naturalists, and as will be shown, they DO not follow a religion.
Where come scripture or holy books ...do your homework sir!

    Dear Prabhu, Blore,

VHP BD also has a free will similar to us, not for Church attacks, for temple and mosque attacks.

To propagate Ones belief is constitutional guaranteed and the free will can embrace others faith once he perceives another's faith or religion.

However to beat or to attack another person or another's church there is law which binds to all.

That is what we claim and wanted to be accomplished.

    You can propagate your Atheism.

But without God how come Atheism???!

I believe that there is no God. I'm beyond atheism. Atheism is not believing in God. Not believing in God is easy — you can't prove a negative, so there's no work to do. But You can't prove that there is god !

"I heard there is one even for beer drinkers ! And one for love and one for the throat the heart, etc etc"
    - Are you comparing God to a beer?

"As per Christian view, our ancestors worshiped one God"
    - I mentioned it specifically as the Christian view as each view including yours (Atheism) looks at the Universe and our surroundings based on those views. Since you deny God, then as per your current Atheistic held views you would have to believe that through the process of evolution, humans came to life. But in my Christian view, we humans are created in the image of God - hence as God is Holy, we too can be Holy, as God loves, we too love, as God hates wickedness, we too should stay away from wicked behaviour, etc. But from your Atheistic held view does holiness, love, wicked behaviour have any meaning? From an evolutionary view, does it even matter what holiness is? or if people should love? or if people should stay away from wicked behaviour?

I have a great friend Pai who use to hate chrisitians one fine day met with serious road accident with major issues. Guess who helped him christian priest at his hosiptal bed and all community for him disappeared and he himself call upon Jesus from his own lips and accepted Jesus. Today he is preaching good news of Jesus to fellow broken hearted, troubled families, mental ill people, helping homeless. Jesus is very powerfull and unless untill we don't feel him nothing changes like the chuurch attackers, and thier supporter, all evil but someday Jesus will help them to think and realize thier errors.

Saint Arnold, originally of Austria, is known as the patron saint of beer. He was a bishop and very prominent in the Church. When he died, the party of travellers carrying his coffin stopped to rest at a tavern and get a drink of beer. They were told, unfortunately that there was only one mug of beer and that they would have to all share it. The mug never emptied and this "miracle" became one of the qualified miracles to make Saint Arnold a cannonized saint.

Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. In the 15th century, the Portuguese explored the sea route to India and Pope Nicholas V enacted the Papal bull Romanus Pontifex. This granted the patronage of the propagation of the Christian faith in Asia to the Portuguese and rewarded them with a trade monopoly for newly discovered areas.[8] After Vasco da Gama arrived in India in 1498, the trade became prosperous, but the Portuguese were not interested in proselytisation. After four decades, the Catholic Church threatened to open Asia for all Catholics.[9] Missionaries of the newly founded Society of Jesus were sent to Goa, and the Portuguese colonial government supported the mission with incentives for baptised Christians. They offered rice donations for the poor, good positions in the Portuguese colonies for the middle class, and military support for local rulers.[9] Many newly converted Indians were opportunistic Rice Christians, who still practised their old religion. Priests considered this a threat to the purity of Christian belief. St. Francis Xavier, in a 1545 letter to John III of Portugal, requested an Inquisition to be installed in Goa.[9]

    Desmond Tutu also said

"Forgiving and being reconciled to our enemies or our loved ones are not about pretending that things are other than they are. It is not about patting one another on the back and turning a blind eye to the wrong. True reconciliation exposes the awfulness, the abuse, the hurt, the truth. It could even sometimes make things worse. It is a risky undertaking but in the end it is worthwhile, because in the end only an honest confrontation with reality can bring real healing. Superficial reconciliation can bring only superficial healing."

Dear VHP and BD, that one sided judicial report was a waste of tax payers money. Of course you people have forgotten those events. You people do such events so often that it is difficult for your good for nothing brains to remember. Peace in society has been regularly disrupted by your organizations all in the name of religious macho-ism.
You talk about money being wasted? When you engage in disruptive and violent activities, that time money does not seem to be an issue.

Of course you will oppose a new commission. Its because you know you are guilty, and this time you will be punished. I hope it is a very severe punishment for you.

You people are the real Desh Drohis.

There will be many more like this as the days\years pass by.
No harassment for more dowry (which is legally banned) which is the root cause boys\girls deciding on such marriages.
Do not keep any holy pictures\idols at home or visit any places of worship.
Just pray to God with all the fervour (from one's heart)silently and your prayers will be heard whichever God you are praying to and no one will ever know which God..After all finally those worships\adoration\prayers has to reach the one and only GOD....

You are wrong. All the trouble started because BJP came to power. These d#gs thought it is our government and we could harass minorities now. But people booted the masters in the election. Conversion bogey, Love Jehad and Cow slaughter is just a gimmick by chaddis to justify their communal crimes. Unlike you we don't support attack on other religion. YOU ARE VERY HAPPY WHEN OTHER RELIGION IS ATTACKED.

Even though christians are a negligible minority in India, there is an increasing number of hindus being drawn to the christian faith through their own accord..Even though i am a catholic, i respect the hindu faith tremendously for its deep belief in peaceful co-existence and "live and let live".

The issue however, is with upper castes and brahmins, who are worried about lower castes being drawn to the christian faith, thus making them lose their grip of control on the lower castes, and so put cases of allegations of forced religious conversions on catholics to instigate and provoke all parties....and we all know which upper caste section of society controls the BD and VHP foot soldiers ...

If one goes to Mahim church in mumbai, one is amazed by the no, of hindus and muslims who come there for their personal prayers and favours...likewise, St. Lawrence Church in Attur, Karkala, or Infant Jesus church in Bangalore and so many other places...

THE SOMASHEKAR COMMISSION HAS ONLY EATEN UP CRORES OF RUPEES AND SERVED ITS MASTER. THE COMMISSION HAS NOT DONE THE JOB THAT WAS GIVEN TO IT BUT RATHER SPECULATED TO SATISFY THE RULING PARTY. Do you see fear in their statements? worry on their faces?

Those who have done nothing wrong\not involved at all in those attacks should not get upset\crib. If they are righteous then they should accept Govt. decision to reject the report and trace the real culprits for taking action against them. Why this should worry VHP,BD and others if they were not involved at all?

Beedi Gangs should understand the BJP government was booted out because of unrest and corruption in the society. These leaders are responsible for the church attacks. They are responsible for all the unrest in the state specially coastal Karnataka. The people have been living happily for decades without any communal disturbances. Because of these poisonous snakes people started doubting each other on communal lines. The trust of various communities cannot be disturbed by these communal dogs.

Ismail Kaaka, Church attack was one of the unpardonable acts!! which was of the same intenstity as Babri demolition, Portugese attacking temples in Goa, or Moghul rules ransacking temples! .. I mean only in this land, this kind of atrocities are seen, other than ISIS and taliban states!

But, my point too is, if we dont like juducial report, then we will reject it..? that would set a wrong precedence!! this will be similar to shahbano case of Rajiv Gandhi!... tomorrow, if any other organizations, pressurises the same way, I wont be surprised...

while on one hand u take even LOKAYUKTA REPORT as GOSPEL... n PRESS FOR MANDAL, SRIKRISHNA COMMISSION REPORT OR ANY OTHER DAMN REPORT ELSEWHERE>.. HERE U DONT LIKE ONE SET OF REPORT, COS IT MAY GO AGAINST VESTED INTEREST,...? I doubt..!

I didnt say that... al lshould ahve pressed for a CID/CBI or all such enquiries, if u didnt trust on cops! And all this before a judicial commission is constituted!!...

OR u shld have opposed the Judge, there and then!.. but once u say he is OK, and then how would u find fault in his report..?? is it a marriage of convenience, that u want to hear those many words as u r prejudices..?/

I am not even saying, Forgive them and let them go, cos Jesus would have done the same! .. I am saying this cos, Siddaramayya is doing a wrong "POLITICS"!!! the report wld have been against anyone, but rejecting it on premises of "few are scotfree" is wrong.. anyways, u wldnt understand my point.. cos, u all get worked up cos its a religious issue.. -)
