Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (EP)

Mangalore, Oct 14: A false dowry harassment case lodged by wife and her family against the husband is reported in JMFC court in Mangalore recently.

The wedding of Rizwan of Bajpe and Tarannum, daughter of Sheikh Noor Mohammed and Gulzar Banu of Bikarnakatte, Mangalore was held at Shadi Mahal, Mangalore on November 11, 2009. Before the marriage, Rizwan was employed in Dubai and after marriage he took his wife to Dubai where he still works.

He is a computer engineer. After sometimes, he got suspicious about the character of his wife. When he found out the records of her talk in her mobile and internet chat that she used to have with men, he was confirmed about her extra marital affairs. When he questioned her, she admitted it and apologized. Later, she requested him to divorce and set her free.

When Rizwan came to his hometown, he informed the matter to Tarannum’s family. There was a meeting in Kadri police station in the presence of the concerned people where she wrote that she is leaving the house of her husband on her own accord. Rizwan Ali then gave her Talak in the presence of all concerned people.

However, after a month, in order to get money from Rizwan, she lodged a false case of dowry harassment against her husband, mother in law, sister in law and brothers-in-law in Bajpe police station. She stated in her complaint that the members of her husband’s house have allegedly assaulted her. She stated that her husband Rizwan Ali Sheikh, his brothers Sarfraz Ali Sheikh, Imran Ali Sheikh and sisters-in-law Rehana Banu, Sarvari Zamzam and husband’s aunt Nasira Banu have harassed and tortured her for dowry.

The hearing of the case was held in Mangalore JMFC court recently. Tarannum’s mother and eight witnesses including her relatives said in the court that Tarannum was tortured for dowry.

However, advocates P P Hegde and Rajesh Kumar Amtadi the defence lawyer cross questioned the witnesses and produced documents to prove that the allegations of the wife were false. The court acquitted all the seven people against whom the cases were booked.

The court has rapped the complainants for misusing the anti dowry law.

I would not suggest you to wait until she registers a false complaint. If you have evidence then consult a good lawyer.

The shocking part of this news item is how low a lady can go cheating her husband! Poor husband had taken her to Dubai for a better life but she went ahead exploring excitement!
Most of us openly condemn and ridicule when Hindu outfits catch couples engaged in illegitimate activities. We ask what is wrong in consensual sex. The word 'illicit' is replaced by 'consensual'.
Start developing acceptance of 'western culture'. Have a mind set where you can accept an illicit affair as consensual acceptable sex. Or the only other choice is to extend an extensive support to organisations like srirama sene and bajrangdal. At least they can keep these in control.
