The result at the Independencia stadium lifted Atletico to fourth while Sao Paulo dropped to third.
Also Sunday, Chapecoense won 1-0 at Bahia, Internacional overcame Fluminense 2-1, Atletico Paranaense beat Figueirense 3-0, Criciuma defeated Santos 3-0 and Vitoria won 2-1.
