Bantwal: Kavalapadooru GP prez Rohini (45) passes away

Bantwal Oct 11: Kavalapadooru Gram panchayat president, Madhwapalke resident Rohini(45) was admitted to Thumbe hospital after she had complained of giddiness on Saturday, October 11 died without responding to treatment.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter and a son. Her son saw the mother suffering from pain when he came home and rushed her to the hospital. It is suspected that she died due to low blood pressure.

Bantwal police circle inspector K U Belliappa visited the hospital and completed legal procedures. The deceased was the director of Women’s Cooperative Society and an active member of several organizations. She was a sincere party worker of Congress.

Her husband is a tanker driver and lives in Mumbai. Minister Ramanath Rai rushed to the hospital leaving aside his schedule and expressed his condolence on the sad demise of party worker.

Taluk panchayat member B Padmashekar Jain, Vinay Nayak, zilla panchayat member Chandraprakash Shetty, Bantwal Block Congress president Mayilappa Salian, Siddakatte Vijaya Bank manager Baby Kunder, P Ginaraja Ariga and other elite leaders visited the hospital.
