Mangalore, Oct 16: Former PM and JD (S) supremo is in the city visiting the injured in the week-long communal clashes in and around the city. Deve Gowda arrived in the city in the afternoon on Monday October 16 and went to AJ Hospital to visit the injured who have been admitted there.
He met the injured, comforted their family members and enquired about their well-being. He also discussed with the doctors about the medical procedures of the patients.
He later also visited some areas rocked by communal clashes. The people in the area complained him that they had been neglected and hence had to face a lot many problems during the entire week. Local JD (S) leaders who had accompanied him too joined voices with the people and complained about various things that went wrong during these seven days.
