Kundapur: Teenager succumbs to injuries after falling from train

Kundapur, Oct 10: A teenager from Bhatkal, accidentally slipped from a running train and died. The incident occurred on Thursday October 9 night.

The incident occurred near Mudlukatte, Kundapur taluk.

The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Mohammed Salman, son of Abdul Razzak and Amin, residents of Bhatkal Badriya Colony, Bendekara.

Salman was working in a garment showroom in Kerala and had returned to his native place few days back. On Thursday October 9, he was traveling by the Matsyghanda train from Bhatkal to Kerala, when he accidently slipped from train between 12 and 1 midnight near Mudlukatte and sustained severe head injuries. He was immediately taken to Government Hospital in Kundapur. However, he succumbed to injuries on Friday October 10 morning.

Kundapur Government Hospital conducted the postmortem. Salman's family is at the hospital at present and the body will be later shifted to Bhatkal.

A case has been registered at Kundapur police station. Salman was a 10th pass student and was working in Calicut. He has left behind his parents and two brothers.
