Bhatkal, Oct 10: Kumar Basawa Achary, who was accused of murdering his employer, died on Thursday October 9.

Kumar Basawa was accused of murdering Ramesh Harikanth (34) at his house in Murdeshwer. Ramesh was to pay four months salary of Rs 10,000 to Kumar Basawa, but kept on delaying and this angered Kumar.

Kumar tried asking for his salary another time on Thursday October 2, but getting no proper response, he went to a shop, purchased a knife, killed Ramesh and fled from the spot.

Bhatkal police who initially suspected suicide, later confirmed it as a murder. It was a great achievement of the police as they nabbed the culprit within six hours.

According to Bhatkal police, Kumar was alcoholic and was suffering from Jaundice from the last six months. Kumar was supposed to be in judicial custody for 15 days, but his symptoms grew worse and was admitted to Karwar Government Hospital. Since he needed further treatment, he was shifted to KMC Hospital, Hubli where he breathed his last on Thursday October 9 at around 2 am.

Now the case has turned the side.To me in Picture he really Looks sick like a alcohol Patient. But exactly what happened in jail/we cant say. our super Police must be knowing the truth.sometimes I wonder how many People die during and in jail/ or custody in the Hands of Police.dont they feel guilty by this?why govt.is not paying Attention to this?innecent People ,or poor People are paying with their life.whereas goondas and murderers escape paying Money.start of this misery was not paying salary. Two lives are lost.noone benefited.so future employers please dont withhold salarys of your poor employees.they too have to live.pity this turn of the Person.may his Soul rest in peace.

This could be another story fabricated by the police to cover up lock up death. Our police are experts at fiction, though sometimes those stories are fit to be believed only by those studying in kindergarten. Only a thorough and unbiased investigation could give clean chit to the police. Until then the needle of suspicion will point at them.
