Former Chelsea coach short-listed for Ghana coaching job


Accra, Oct 9 (IANS) The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has named a five-man short-list to be considered for the Black Stars coaching position. The selected coaches include Avram Grant, former Chelsea coach.

The rest are Michel Pont; former Dutch international Patrick Kluivert; former Italian footballer Marco Tardelli; and Juan Ignicio Jimenenz, Spanish retired footballer.

The coaches were short-listed following thorough work by a three-man committee set up to look for a new coach for the Black Stars, the GFA said.

Pont, Kluivert and Tardelli will arrive in Accra to be interviewed Oct 17 while Grant and Jimenez will be interviewed Oct 18, Xinhua reported Wednesday.
