Mangalore, Oct 9: Police raided two buildings in the city in search of possible clues after receiving a threat letter from unknown source.
The letter written in improper English claims that the letter is from a terrorist group called 'IS IS'.
The letter says that they have lost a person due to suicide who was involved in gambling. It warns that two buildings 'Linking Towers' near Lady Goshen hospital, State Bank and 'Smart Tower' near KMC hospital, Jyothi circle from where that the dead person used to play, will be targeted and blown up in revenge.
The letters in the form of postcards were received by some local TV channels including Daijiworld. A correspondent from a T V channel had handed over the letter to the police. The police did not take a chance and raided both the buildings mentioned in the letter.
It is said that clues have been found in one of the buildings.
The police have said they will probe the matter further and unearth more details about the motive. They have also said that stern action will be taken against the people involved in gambling.
