Kundapur, Oct 8: Byndoor police have succeeded in arresting four persons accused of waylaying and looting gold ornaments when the jeweller was returning home with gold ornaments, here on Wednesday October 8.
The robbers threw chilli powder into the eyes of the jeweller and stabbed him. They snatched the bundle of gold ornaments from him and fled.
The incident had occurred on Tuesday night, October 7 at 8 pm near Uppunda Shalabagilu. The owner of Mahalasa Jewellers Ganesh Shet (58), his son Sudheendra Shet(25) and son-in-law Anil Shet (23) were injured in the incident. They are admitted in a hospital.
The arrested accused Pradeep, Prakash, Durga Prasad and Chandrahas are being questioned. Another accused of the incident Malpe resident, Ravi Jathan is absconding and the police are searching for him.
