New Delhi, Oct 8 (IANS): Kiyang Kasiya Memorial Tribal School from Assam entered the final of the Under-17 girls section of 55th Subroto Cup International Football Tournament, beating Charity School from Nagaland 2-0 in a last-four match at the Ambedkar Stadium here Wednesday.
Nayanmoni and Macha Sharma were the goal scorers for the winning team. The final will be played Oct 10.
In the Under-17 boys category, Sports Authority of India (SAI) from Assam sailed into the quarter-finals, beating Navrachana International School from Gujarat 6-0. Reson netted three goals (28, 42, 58), while Mithinga (36), Jefferson (45) and Emerson (48) completed the scoreline.
Kerala's MSP Higher Secondary School boys downed Delhi Public School from Harayana 8-1 to enter the last-eight stage.
For the Kerala outfit, Geni scored four goals with M. Sahib, Vishnu, Mahin and Nitish (own goal) adding to the tally. For Haryana, Kamal was the lone scorer. The two will meet each other in quarters Oct 11.
