Los Angeles, Oct 5 (IANS): Hollywood star George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's Venice wedding was a costly affair with approximately $1.6 million spent on the ceremony, sources say.

Their three-day wedding weekend, including their intimate Sep 27 ceremony at the Aman Canal Grande resort, cost about $1.6 million, reports people.com.

Clooney's marriage to the human rights lawyer was witnessed by stars like Matt Damon, Bono and Cindy Crawford.
