    Dear vantage point, mangalore
Kindly provide the details of the scriptures/verses for your claim so that i can clear your misconception.
I do not care what you eat, but next time don't give any scripture reference for what you eat without knowing it !
Rahi baath Swami Vivekanad ki, many other intellectuals and budhhi jeevis have also given their views regarding the scriptures of these go green followers, And when these people do mistakes ,People do not try to justify by showing them they are following SUNNAH . Got it!!

    Master, Mangalore.

    Well said.

It reminded me of my college days(Govt. college) and on some occasions we friends (all community) used to visit Capital hotel to enjoy Beef steak (chops). What a size ! One would be quite heavy and enough for the day. Wow!

That was only affordable and tasty stuff. (for a student)

    Mr. Irfan
In Karnataka 'Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Cattle Preservation Act, 1964' governs the slaughter of cattle in the state. Slaughter of cow, calf of a cow (male or female) or calf of a she-buffalo totally prohibited. Slaughter of bulls, bullocks and adult buffaloes is permitted on obtaining a "fit-for-slaughter" certificate provided cattle is over 12 years of age or is permanently incapacitated for breeding, draught or milk due to injury, deformity or any other cause. Transport for slaughter to a place outside the State not permitted. Sale, purchase or disposal of a cow or a calf, for slaughter, is not permitted.

Anyone violating the law can be punished with imprisonment up to maximum of 6 months or fine of up to INR1,000 or both. The crime is treated as a cognizable offence!!

    @ India first....
Yep it is there but the law doesn't prohibits of slaughtering cattle above certain age and also transporting cattle within state...Is it the case with this incident...How many times your BD goons attacked cattle transporters even-though they had license to transport it...which Indian law allows BD to take law in their hand even if the cattle transporting is legal or illegal...
You must also mention that Indian law doesn't allow to take law into their hand or to create animosity between people.....
Protecting cattle is part of DPSP but it can be repealed but taking law into the hand is violation of fundamental right...
Who gave this lawless guys to use law are they police...?

I was happy with previous governments who had no problems with beef, no problems with burkha, no problems with valentines day, no problems with night mass at churches, and no problems with students talking with fellow students.
Since I left Mangalore in 1991, ever since I often visit my place, I cannot get beef, I cannot find the friendliness with youth of my village and city's.
I see a difference in people, people are not happy see us?
We are the same folks who help out for ganeshotsva and mosaru kudike without our names on the well wishers list.
We are same folks who speak Tulu more fluently than any language.
We are same crowd attend nemotsava and bootha kola.
But why this change in attitude towards us?

ur last line "goto SHIVAJI NAGAR n try" itself suggest, why we need BD/Hindu senas at our place!!! for the fear of not creating another Shivajinagar ghetto, where tanveer, muneer, koli fayaz kind of keeda breed!! get it?
(I hate BD/SRS as much as anybody..but blood boils when people justify anything)

anna, Pettalu kand-d popundu.. that is fear of even christian ladies as much as hindus... these people feed something, and take them in small cars, police dont catch them cos, all r given proper hafta... even few hindus supply these things, and eat as well... for me it is religiously sentiment of one majority country!!! we r secular, so we dont ban out right,.. however, there shld be government delaer for beef, just like wine shops!! why nobody bothers people eating pork... ? same becomes banned in muslim countries? why, so that it doesnt hurt their religious sentiments right?... let them go and buy halal beef meat in govt.licnsed shop, rather than this stolen cows!

I like beef whats the problem with people who doesn't like it...Even the scriptures whom these self styled polices believe well mentions of beef eating...Even swami vivekananda acknowledged beef eating in ancient vedic India...But these goons who themselves claiming protector of Arianism doesn't want to look into it...There is police to look after the crime these self styled goonda policing need to be stopped...Dont dictate your menu on others in this India everybody has right to choose this menu...Stop forcing your religious belief on others for better India...If you dont like beef dont eat it but you have no right to prevent someone else from eating it......If you say we were preventing crime of transporting cattle not about preventing beef then why your goons doesnt catch other goods which are illegally transported..

That depends upon the names (or religious belonging) of those who treated the calf. Wait and watch for news.

You may have noticed in news here that bringing someone forcefully to accept Hindu religion is Ghar-vaapasi but someone willingly embracing other religion is love-jihad !
