Udupi, Oct 10: "The Kaup Congress committee will stage protest in 5 of its ZP constituency limits against the state government's failure in providing good governance," said former minister and senior Congress leader Vasant Salian.

He was speaking at a press conference here recently.  He said that protest will be staged at Shirva on October 12, at Kaup on October 13, at Yellur on October 15, at Mudarangadi on October 17 and finally at Padubidri on Friday October 20.

"CM's statements regarding the madarassas, higher education minister's utterances against Tipu Sultan and rest of the things will be the main focus of the protests.  Government has its own formed opinions about conversions.  In gist, government has failed in all fields.  Ration cards are not reaching the BPL families and they have been devoid of necessary items at fairly reasonable rates.  All this shows that government is busy fighting within itself while forgetting to give good governance," he added.
