Sao Paulo coach in hospital after irregular heartbeat

Rio de Janeiro, Sep 27 (IANS) Sao Paulo allayed fears about the health of coach Muricy Ramalho, who remains in intensive care with an irregular heartbeat.

The 58-year-old was admitted to the Sao Luiz Morumbi hospital Thursday after complaining of an elevated heart rate during a training session, reports Xinhua.

Sao Paulo club doctor Jose Sanchez Friday said Muricy would not take charge of the team in their Brazilian Serie A clash against Fluminense Saturday.

"He thought he was just going to hospital to undergo some exams and then go back home. He didn't realise he was going to stay," Sanchez said.

"Let's make it clear that the situation is not serious. Clinically speaking he is fine. It's just a question of taking care. We can't take this lightly."
