Mangalore, Sep 22: A man was stabbed to death in broad daylight near Gorigudde here on Monday September 22.

The deceased has been identified as Durgaprasad, a resident of Kambettu Badaga, Yadapadavu, who was in his early 30s.

It is said that Durgaprasad was standing near a cemetry close to Gorigudde with his friend, when some persons approached them and started attacking. They first assaulted his friend and chased him away, and then allegedly stabbed Durgaprasad, before fleeing the spot.

Durgaprasad, who sustained critical injuries on stomach and legs, was rushed to hospital, where he breathed his last.

The motive behind the murder is not yet known.

Police commissioner R Hitendra visited the hospital and conducted inquiries.

Pandeshwar police arrived at the crime spot and investigations are on.

Because criminal are left out very easily on bail this is the reason so much of criminal activities. Give such a punishment that they should never ever commit any bad act in their life. Cops just do this job for the sake of the good people.

Sad to see that Human life is not valued and we hear about Murders and rapes everyday.

Mangalore was a beautiful place earlier and now is turning evil.

People blame that due to the outstaion people migrating to Mangalore , crimes have increased.

Its untrue because if one goes through the news everyday, we find majority of the crimes are committed by the locals itself. Probably out of all the crimes, 2- 3 percent of the minor crimes are committed by non-Mangaloreans.
How often do we hear that someone from XYZ state commited murder and rape in Mangalore ?? Outstation people are scared as its not their hometown and have no high level contact unlike the locals.

Murders and rapist get away due to the incompetency of the police force , due to our weak laws and due to the support by Politicians after the crime is comitted. If one runs to a politician, he will call the SP directly and inform " Aaye yenkilna Jawane ...onji choor toole" and the criminal is treated well. This serves as an ecouragement to the wicked to commit more crimes.

We cannot blame anyone because if we have a strong law and order, any crime can be controlled.

Murders, rapes, killings have almost become daily occurrences in a place which was once a very peaceful place to dwell in.

It is unfortunate that in an era which speaks of PEACEFUL CO-EXISTENCE, we see JUST THE OPPOSITE.

Hope the police come down severely on the criminal who has been responsible for this act.

Dugaprasad from Yedapadau and the murder takes place at Gorigudde, that means he was being followed by the assailants.
Mangalore is becoming very notorious and dangerous place. Yesterday, a murder in Bijai. Within two days two murders ?
