Margao, Sep 30: While all eyes are on the forthcoming assembly elections and also Salcete people are keenly waiting to know from which constituency South Goa Member of Parliament Churchill Alemao will contest, sources have indicated that he is likely to contest from the Navelim constituency.
When contacted in the matter, Alemao hinted that he would contest from Navelim constituency, but could also keep the option of sticking to the MP's post open, if the government agrees to all the demands he had placed before it.
Scrapping of the Mopa airport and the six-lane express highway projects and justice to Taxi operators of state by framing beneficial rules are among some of his demands.
The present Navelim MLA and Education minister Luizinho Faleiro, also hailing from Congress party, may, along with Alemao, contend for the Navelim ticket.
