Moodbidri, Sep 20: Skeletal remains thought to be belonging to a male were found in the thicket near Kadalakere within the Moodbidri town municipal limits on Saturday September 20 morning.

A woman, who had visited the forest to collect firewood on Friday evening had come across a skull at the spot. Growing jittery, she conveyed this information to local municipal councillor, Nagaraj Poojary. Poojary visited the spot on Saturday morning in the company of some others, and discovered a skeleton there.

There are telltale signs to indicate that the body of the person concerned was hanging from the branch of an acacia tree to the end of a nylon rope. The branch, located at the height of about ten feet, has been found to have been snapped. The footwear, shirt, pants etc are found to have been strewn around the spot. It is guessed that the skeletal remains belong to a male aged around 30 to 35 years.

Some nails and a knife were also found scattered on the ground inside the thicket. The policemen, who were sounded about the incident, visited the spot, and made a record about the finding. They have guessed that the man would have committed suicide about four to five months back.

Police should have to start with the truth. because any decision making that will be based upon lies, Police should avoid jumping into conclusion that the person committed suicide. What if somebody must have hanged this person...
